When you donate to Goodwill Southern California, you help individuals with barriers to employment in our community secure sustainable employment through education, training, work experience and career placement services. Goodwill supports its mission of Transforming lives through the Power of Work with proceeds generated from the sale of donated goods at more than 80 stores.

So much of our mission is funded through retail sales, which are dependent on the donation of new and gently used items to fill our stores. Donors do their part, and we do ours by offering easy access to centers and friendly donation attendants who help unload items and provide receipts for use in preparing taxes. We accept everything from clothing and accessories to small household appliances and furnishings, computers, books, e-media, fine china, art and other collectibles in good or new condition. Thanks to your generous donations, last year, Goodwill Southern California diverted more than 100 million pounds of reusable or recyclable goods and electronics from landfills. Goodwill is Caring for the Earth and that’s – Good For Everyone.

Goodwill Southern California gratefully accepts donations at more than 80 retail stores and over 40 donation centers where an attendant will happily assist you by unloading your items and providing you with a receipt for your records. We are sorry for any inconvenience; however, we do not offer pick-up service.

It’s the kind of math anyone can love. 1 Bike + 1 Coat + 1 DVD = 1 Hour of Career Training. Ninety-two cents of every dollar you donate (or every dollar we earn from your donation of goods) goes toward preparing and placing someone in sustainable employment. Whether it’s a pair of jeans, an unwanted vehicle or a financial gift, donations help Goodwill provide critical career resources and services to tens-of-thousands of local residents every year.

We accept items in good or new condition. Locations in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Orange County are operated independently. We operate over 40 donation centers throughout Southern California and more than 80 retail stores.All of which are staffed by friendly attendants who will help unload donated items and provide receipts for use in preparing taxes.

Donated goods, cars and financial gifts fund programs that assist veterans, at risk youth, the homeless, ex-offenders and those with significant disabilities and the greatest barriers to employment. These individuals obtain valuable skills training, and enjoy the rewards of dignified employment, a paycheck and a brighter tomorrow. Thank you for donating!
