Employment Opportunity
The 2025 LA Wildfires National Dislocated Worker Grant (NDWG) was launched to provide temporary jobs and humanitarian aid following the devastating January 2025 wildfires in Los Angeles.
$25 per hour jobs opportunities for:
- Cleanup
- Repair
- Support Services
Eligible Participants Include:
- Individuals laid off due to the disaster
- Dislocated workers
- Long-term unemployed individuals
- Self-employed individuals who lost work due to the fires
The program will run through June 30, 2025.

Additional Services Include:
Family Services
- Assist in screening and applying for income support programs
- Assess for emergency shelter and rental assistance
- Assist with filing taxes and claiming up to $10,000 in tax credits
- Access to food, transportation, and other basic needs
- Referrals to immigration services
Employment Services
- Job placement and job training
- Offer supportive services, such as clothing, union dues, and transportation
- Access to temporary employment at $25-$27 per hour for 600 hours
- Up to $2,000 available in relief funds
Youth Services
- Help applying for part-time jobs
- Youth educational services
- Guidance in accessing mental health resources
- Support in finding after-school activities
Small Business Services
- Bilingual assistance for business permits
- Financial advice for recovery
- Business management and growth workshops
- Grants available from $2,000 to $25,000
