When you donate your gently used items to Goodwill Southern California, you’re offering a hand-UP to individuals in need throughout the community. Goodwill provides education, training, work experience and job placement services to people with disabilities or other disadvantages. We empower individuals through coaching, networking, writing resumes, and helping with transportation or proper clothing for interviews. We also offer access to the tools needed to find a job, like computers and internet, telephones, fax machines, and copy machines. Last year alone we placed 3,943 people in new jobs through programs and services offered at three campuses and 24 job service centers throughout Los Angeles (north of Rosecrans Ave.), Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Proceeds generated from 81 retail stores and 46 donation centers throughout the community fund our employment services and programs. When we get someone back to work, the whole community benefits. That individual is now making a valuable contribution to society instead of having to rely solely on taxpayer dollars and charity to survive.

And, our Goodwill donation centers and donations boxes provide a convenient and eco-friendly way to reduce household clutter without throwing usable goods in the trash. You can trust that all of these donations are put to good use. Goodwill Southern California spends 95 percent of its budget on local programs and services.
