RISE GRADUATES 7 HOURS OF TRAINING & PAID WORK EXPERIENCE UNHOUSED INDIVIDUALS SERVED 5,150 WE SERVE INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS DAVID was unemployed and referred to Goodwill Southern California for employment resources by The Salvation Army and the City of Redlands while living in temporary housing. Despite David’s circumstances, he maintained a positive outlook and showed a willingness to improve his situation by attending workshops hosted by Goodwill ambassadors. Goodwill supported him with resume writing and enrollment in the Prison to Employment(P2E) program. Due to his hard work and dedication, David stood out amongst the other candidates and was offered a permanent part-time position with Goodwill Southern California at the San Bernardino Distribution Center. David is now living in permanent housing with his wife, fully employed and is very grateful to the Goodwill SoCal staff that has helped him on his journey. Goodwill Southern California supports individuals experiencing homelessness through a compassionate, person- centered approach that meets people where they are—physically and emotionally. We deliver workforce development services directly to shelters, encampments, and community-based locations, removing barriers to access and building trust along the way. Participants gain paid training and transitional employment in our retail stores, while also being connected to essential services that support their journey toward stability and self-sufficiency. LA: RISE Beyond As we look ahead, we are reimagining how we create and deliver impact.
