PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
During their school vacation, 20 students 
dedicated time to completing their Work 
Experience (WEX) hours, demonstrating strong 
commitment to their goals and future success. 
As a result of their efforts, each student 
received a Chromebook through program 
funding to support their continued learning. 
They returned to school with new technology 
to support their education and earnings 
from their work experience. This experience 
reinforced the value of hard work while helping 
students stay connected to their education 
and career pathways. 
In the Student Work Experience Program, Enrique learned 
interpersonal skills, including empathy, stress management 
and composure. Enrique said, “This program is a great starting 
point for students like me to build the skills and confidence 
needed for long-term success in the workforce.”
