HIGHLIGHTS
On December 13, Goodwill Southern California partnered with CityBoyz to host the 6th Annual CityBoyz Giveback Community
Drive at the LAPD Rampart Station. Complimentary haircuts, food, clothing, employment resources and essential services were provided to
unhoused individuals and families in need of support. Our partner, Impacts, distributed backpacks and supplies. The event brought together
volunteers, donors, and community partners in a powerful display of compassion and shared commitment to uplifting our community.
L.A. County Fair
Goodwill SoCal participated for the third year in
the nonprofit corner at the LA County Fair held
annually at the Fairplex in Pomona. Organizations
are invited to host a resource booth during the
run of the fair in the month of May.
The Fair offers access to thousands of guests to
engage, educate, and hopefully inspire them to
donate, shop, and give monetarily in support of
Goodwill’s programs and employment services.
Fairgoers often share their experiences with
thrifting and donating, which opens opportunities
to speak about the individuals we serve and to
share how important it is to think of Goodwill first
when donating.
Coffee with the Cops
In 2025, Goodwill SoCal partnered with the
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to bring
Coffee with the Cops events to select Goodwill
stores. The events created a welcoming space for
shoppers, donors, and community members to
connect with local officers, discuss public safety
concerns, and learn about community resources
and Goodwill’s workforce services. LAPD officers
and commanders also showed their support for
Goodwill stores in communities experiencing higher
levels of crime. Through coffee, conversation,
and connection, the events helped strengthen
relationships between Goodwill, law enforcement,
and the communities we serve.
