Goodwill’s Disabilities Services Programs 
offer specialized support tailored to individuals with disabilities. 
In 2025, these programs served 7% of our participants. 
Our multidisciplinary Disability Services team; including 
Managers, Supervisors, Case Managers, Assistants, Specialists, 
and Job Coaches is extensively trained to provide these 
programs and supports, in collaboration with the Department
of Rehabilitation (DOR) and Regional Center.

Training Programs
Each year, Goodwill SoCal supports more than 250 Individuals with 
disabilities through DOR’s Student Services Paid Work Experience 
(STEP) and Adult Work Experience programs. Additionally, Goodwill
SoCal serves over 200 Regional Center clients through Supported 
Employment and Paid Internship opportunities. Employers include 
Goodwill’s stores, Grocery Outlet, Walgreens, Habitat for Humanity, 
Barnes & Noble, Baskin-Robbins and CVS.  Goodwill SoCal staff 
prioritize a person-centered and strengths-based approach when 
working with each individual. This ensures the placement sites 
align with the individual’s values, goals, and interests, enhancing 
successful program outcomes.
BRITTNEY came to Goodwill SoCal with a limited work 
history and severe workplace anxiety. She struggled to 
communicate with her coworkers and her customers, 
and feared taking on more responsibility.
Through ongoing support and workplace coaching, she 
learned new skills that increased her self-confidence 
and improved her ability to communicate with others. 
She became more independent at work and takes pride 
in her accomplishments. She has found full-time work 
in a warehouse with a Goodwill SoCal partner, the 
achievement of a longtime goal.

Goodwill SoCal’s Ticket to Work (TTW) program supports 
Social Security disability beneficiaries ages 18-64 who want 
to work and build a pathway to financial independence.
