 GOODWILL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 2025 | 17
Benefit Gala
On March 27, Goodwill SoCal hosted the 2025 Wildfire Response
Benefit Gala honoring Louise Oliver. Louise’s 60 years of
service was celebrated while raising funds for the GSC Wildfire
Workforce Rebuilding Los Angeles Fund. The event welcomed
over 180 guests and highlighted the importance of community
support, job training, and rebuilding opportunities for those
impacted by wildfires.
Voucher Program
3,600 Goodwill SoCal retail vouchers were distributed
through the Red Cross to support individuals affected by
the wildfires. GSC’s Mission College site was designated as a
hub for both Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles,
serving businesses and community members in need of
resources and support.
Wildfire Fund
An impact fund was created to support the Los Angeles
region by providing workforce development services,
immediate relief, and resources for individuals affected by
recent wildfires. Offering immediate job and wrap-around
support was top priority while creating long-term career
pathways in critical industries.
ALTADENA CITYBOYZ
On April 26, Goodwill SoCal and CityBoyz partnered with local
organizations to support affected families through the ‘Dena
Giveback Event. The relief effort provided food, clothing, essential
resources, distributed 500 $15 gift cards, and hosted an iPad
raffle, offering stability and care during a time of uncertainty.
