WE SERVE
JUSTICE INVOLVED
INDIVIDUALS
Goodwill Southern California supports the
justice involved population with compassion, opportunity, and
targeted services that create clear pathways to transitional
and, ultimately, permanent employment. Through programs
like RENEW, Prison to Employment, LA:RISE, and INVEST, our
participants build marketable and soft skills essential for job
success while engaging in up to 300 hours of paid training and
work experience that helps cover basic expenses and reduces
financial barriers. We also connect participants to wraparound
support—including mental health care, housing, and legal
services—to address challenges to stability. Our job placements
prioritize positions with benefits, reliable scheduling, and safe
conditions in sectors with opportunities for advancement and
economic mobility.

 GOODWILL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 2025 | 13
I was unemployed for a year. The constant rejection due to my background and lack of
education was difficult. I felt hopeless, but Goodwill changed everything. They gave me
a chance. I completed Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide courses. Now I
have three job offers, pending my state license. My life has completely transformed.
